Bosch TarotBosch Tarot
Hieronymus Bosch's unusual vision of the 16th century provides the filter through which Atanassov worked to create the Bosch Tarot. The quaint, the puzzling, the mildly amusing, the simply absurd, and sometimes even the lovely go hand-in-hand with the rawest monstrosity and the most disturbingly grotesque images. All the cards are titled in Italian, English, French, German, and Spanish.

Mantegna Tarot
This deck is a modern artistic recreation of the Tarocchi del Mantegna, a classic series of 15th-century Venetian engravings depicting tarot-like subjects. There are 50 cards, divided into 5 series of 10 each (the ranks of society, Apollo and the muses, the arts and sciences, the virtues, and the celestial spheres). Although not a tarot deck, it has many intriguing parallels with the tarot. The Mantegna series clearly depicts an ordered, philosophical system, giving an explicit logical structure to the planes of existence. The designs were previously available only as a collectible monochrome reproduction issued by Il Meneghello. Although in some ways the Il Meneghello set is more faithful to the originals, it is not actually "authentic" either, being a reproduction of line drawings made long ago for book illustrations, rather than reproducing the original engravings themselves. The Lo Scarabeo issue can be regarded as an alternative means for modern tarot enthusiasts to become acquainted with the basic subject matter and symbolism of the Mantegna prints.

Tarot of the Renaissance
In the Tarot of the Renaissance, artist Giorgio Trevisan captures the spirit of this lively period in history. This deck is not a reproduction of an historical deck, but Trevisan's rendering of imagined symbolic scenes from that time period. There are nobles and peasants, philosophers and warriors. Cards such as Temperance are reminiscent of paintings by Vermeer. Some card themes are similar to those in other tarot decks, but many are unique. The major arcana and court card titles are given in four languages at the bottom. The card number is given in roman numerals. The suit names and court cards are standard except with cups as chalices and pages as knaves. There is no instruction booklet, but some brief card meanings are given on extra cards. The Tarot of the Renaissance is produced by Lo Scarabeo in Italy.
